Wireless Downhole Command Centre

Reopening or reconfiguring a completion today usually needs an intervention: rig time, wireline or coiled tubing, and the risk that comes with them. L&P Operations is developing a wireless alternative, where one coded signal from surface reopens the well.

Stage 1: Wireless isolation and flow reinstatement​

The first tool isolates the well and later restores flow on command from surface, with no intervention. It works with acoustic, EM, pressure or wired signalling. Several layers of verification run before any actuation.

In-line power generation

​A turbine generator that harvests energy from injection-water flow to power remote wellsite equipment, in the 30-300 kW range. It is now in development with an operator partner.
